I served in 5/7th Cav in 1970 and am now president of the 5/7 Cav Association. We have our next reunion in Colorado Springs during the week of 8-13 August, 2016; and, it would be our pleasure to have you join us. We'll have over 500 attending with everyone of them grateful for everyone of you in the 227th for all that you did - at your own peril - to support us.
To paraphrase Joe Galloway, you in those thin skinned choppers, who came when we called, were life savers. You came to get our wounded; you brought us water and ammo; you took out our dead; and, you gave us a ride out of hell when it was over for us. As for as we're concerned, you're one of us; we are brothers and you and your 227th brothers are welcome at anytime, as are your families.
